ReMix It is excited to partner with Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina for a simple t-shirt upcycling project!  In this class you'll transform a t-shirt into something new using no (or minimal) sewing. Goodwill will provide a choice of t-shirts to use for your project (or you're welcome to bring your own). 

Your instructor: Leanna Echeverri is an Asheville-based artist, photographer, and textile designer with a passion for upcycling, sustainable fashion, and creative expression. A lifelong sewer and maker, she enjoys transforming reclaimed fabrics and donated textiles into one-of-a-kind wearable art that celebrates both craftsmanship and individuality.

Leanna has collaborated with Goodwill to showcase the creative potential of repurposed clothing and was a featured designer in the Color Me Asheville fashion show. Her work demonstrates that beautiful, contemporary fashion can emerge from materials that might otherwise be overlooked.
